An interesting clip from the Groat, dated July 24, 1998. Caithness and Sutherland NHS Chairman, George Bruce, expressed his fears of what might happen if local control was lost. And here we are, a quarter of a century later, and it would seem that Mr Bruce’s predictions were totally accurate……………………
